Stephen Borostyan, 86, passed away with his loving family by his side, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, after a long illness.
A native of Budapest, Hungary he came to America to start a new life for himself at the age of 18 in 1956. Stephen was a graduate of Lemoyne College with a degree in Physics. He went on to be a very successful Engineer, working at Xerox for 30 years and later opening up his own company.
He had a passion for his family, sailing, building amazing furniture and sculptures, as well as a mastermind at figuring out just about anything you put in front of him. He was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His warm personality and welcoming smile would draw people together and he loved reminiscing and telling stories for others. He lived each day with a sense of love for his family, country and ingenuity. His legacy of hard work, resilience and compassion will resonate for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents Istvan and Margaret Borostyan. Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances Borostyan, his 3 children and spouses, Stephen and Tania Borostyan, David and Kristin Borostyan, Kathy and Marty Arlin and his beloved grandchildren, Karrisa, Alexandra, Mehanna, Eric and Brian and great grandchild Brody.
