Stephen B. Robie

Stephen B. "Butch" Robie, Jr., age 67, of Keene, NH died November 21, 2008 at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction Vermont. He was born in Chester, VT the son of the late Stephen B. Robie and Pearl Julia (Aiken) Robie. A long time resident of New Hampshire, he attended the Vilas High School in Alstead, NH and lived in Langdon for several years before moving to Keene. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1958 – 1965 in the Signal Corps. He attained the rank of Sergeant with 30 months in Korea. He was a member of American Legion, Post 4, Keene, NH for over twenty years. He worked as a caretaker and general building repairman for several years. He is survived by seven siblings: Donald Robie, Howard Robie, Bruce Robie, Elizabeth Davis, Marilyn Robie, Sandra Newton and Judith Houghton. He is predeceased by four sisters: Jean Marshall, Shirley Griffin, Jackie Paige and Brenda Merrill. As per Stephen's request, there will be no services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
