Stephen L. Saxe

Stephen Leonard Saxe, of Nashua, New Hampshire, born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, 81 years old, passed away April 1, 2024 (Yes, we do see the irony).

Steve led an amazing life. He owned a pharmacy (Campus Pharmacy) with his father in Boston and later found a passion for sales. Steve's smile, grace, charm and ambition were infectious and some of his greatest strengths as a salesperson.

Steve's commitment to his family and friends was like no other. Sunday barbeques were a given, along with volleyball and badminton games. Lets not forget about his love for skiing. Steve and his cousin Bobby were avid skiers. They were initial shareholders at Loon Mountain and one of the co-founders of the “old school” Loon Mountain St. Patrick's Day party. The Green Punch is now a legacy. For many years, he spent every weekend packing up his family for the "ARE WE THERE YET" drive to Loon. Always following his cousin Bobby (Scuz) with their CB walkie talkies, ready for the journey. You could always find Steve at his children's, and later, grandchildren's sporting events. Whether he was volunteering as an umpire at a baseball game or cheering at a lacrosse tournament, everybody knew "Papa Steve."

Steve also had a passion for volunteering. He was on the Board of Directors for Nashua PAL, served on the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Nashua, Nashua Soup Kitchen and Kiwanis of Nashua. He won the Eminence of the Year Award - Volunteer of the Year and threw out the opening day pitch for the Nashua Silver Nights. While Steve's wife, Sandy was undergoing treatment for cancer, he organized a Relay for Life walk in Nashua. If anyone asked Steve to volunteer, the answer was always “yes”!

Steve is predeceased by his mother Beatrice Berman Saxe and Milton Saxe, He is survived by his loving wife, and best friend of 56 years, Sandra Dubin Saxe. His daughters Lindsay Saxe Silvestri and Jaime Saxe, grandchildren Ethan Silvestri and Brooke Silvestri, brother Mark Saxe, brotherlike cousin Robert Stahler (Scuz), "sister" Roberta Weiner, nieces and nephews, several lifelong friends, and Grand dogs Tucker Silverstri and Stoli Saxe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Stephen L. Saxe to American Diabetes Association or Nashua PAL
