Steven M. Haskell

Steven (Steve) Michael Haskell Sr. (63) of Concord, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on the rivah on July 11, 2024. Steve was born to Charles Haskell & Dale Rosanna on March 24,1961 in Brookline, MA.

He was an active member of the American Legion, Post 21 in Concord, NH, where he served as a Sons of the American Legion officer. Steve supported all the Posts branches including the Legionnaires, Women’s Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion by helping support fundraisers, emceeing meat spins, and assisted in every event where his help was welcome. Stevo (one of his numerous nicknames) was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 279 in Concord, NH for many years.

Spuds (another name he was fondly known as) actively partook in various leagues including horseshoes, cornhole, candlepin bowling, pool, and the traveling Pub Dart League. Over the last few years, Steve was quite enthusiastic in competing in the Monday night golf league at Canterbury Woods with his best friend and golf partner, Charlie Tatro. They took it upon themselves to ensure they finished in last place each year to help boost the morale of each of the other competitors, as all that mattered for them was the fun time they had losing together.

Along with all of his league activities, he found great joy in helping others, hosting a good party, dancing, going to concerts, movie watching, gambling, enjoying a fisherman’s platter, playing a good game of cribbage and always sipping on his Stoli and ginger. He was fun loving, worked as hard as he played kind of guy, who never gave up a chance to tout about Beth’s cooking. His favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since 2018, he enjoyed serving Thanksgiving meals at the Windmill Restaurant and he loved spoiling his family with gifts every winter.

Steve was predeceased by his father Charles Haskell of Halifax, MA, his brother Mark Haskell of Concord, NH, and brother Charlie Haskell of Scituate, MA.

Steve is survived by his mother, Dale Rosanna of Boscawen, NH. His son Steven M. Haskell Jr. and his wife Krystn, along with their 3 children who call him grandpa; Steven Michael III, Duke and Lucy of Mansfield, MA. His daughter Stephanie M. Haskell (who he referred to as his candy girl) of Malden, MA. His partner of 18 years, Elizabeth (Beth) W. Ambeau of Concord, NH, “his other daughter” Tyler Smirnioudis and her husband George and along with their 2 children Sofia and Elias who refer to him as Pa-Pa, of Chichester, NH. Steve is also survived by his sisters Lauren Bosco and her life-long partner Max of Epsom, NH, Lynne Gould and husband Dave of Green, ME, Raeann Horsman of Concord, NH, and Kelly Robie of Franklin, NH. Steve had numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; he loved all dearly.
