Steven Tim Mosman of North Woodstock, Owner/Artist of Kelly’s Tattoo passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at home, surrounded by his beloved wife and loving family, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, at the age 65.
Tim was born in Arlington, VA to the late Kenneth F. Mosman and Helen (Wilson) Mosman. Tim was raised in West Boylston MA, graduated from West Boylston High School and attended Worcester State College. Following this, he moved to New Hampshire to pursue his dream of becoming a Tattoo Artist. He completed his apprenticeship at White Mountain Tattoo in North Conway NH, and later moved to the Lincoln/Woodstock area to open his own studio, Kelly’s Tattoo. Tim worked for nearly 30 years in the tattoo industry and has made his “mark” on thousands.
Tim was larger than life. He was a talented award-winning artist, hard-working business owner, loving husband, and father to his family. He was a boxing enthusiast, and an active and preforming musician, playing many instruments. He is most fondly remembered playing his harmonica that he often kept in his chest pocket. He was a “Blues” man to his core but appreciated a wide range and variety of music. Tim was kind and immensely generous with his time and talents. He looked at life through a humorous lens, and always had a joke to tell. Tim was well known and loved in the community, and cherished the mountainous town he lived in, especially during the summer months when he would spend much of his free time cruising the Kancamagus highway on his Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle.
Married in 2007, he was the beloved husband of 15 years, to Karen M. Blake. He was dedicated to his family especially his wife, children, and grandchildren, supporting all their activities and accomplishments. Tim was the devoted father of Erin (Mosman) Fortin and her husband Chris Fortin of Dover NH, Casey (Mosman) Craddock and her husband Nathan Craddock of Dripping Springs TX, and Blake W. Mosman of North Woodstock NH. He was also the loving grandfather of Silas Fortin and Arlo Fortin. The second oldest of five siblings, Tim is survived by his sisters Gale Mosman of Danielson CT, and Jane (Mosman) Hess (husband Steven Hess) of North Grosvenordale CT. He is predeceased by his brother John Mosman and sister Jill (Mosman) Orcutt. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held later this year. Donations in Tim’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
