Steven John Poleatewich

Steven John Poleatewich, 64, of Exeter, NH, died peacefully at the Exeter Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2022.  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite what he went through, Steve came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Steve was born October 22, 1957, in Andover, MA and was the son of the late William J. and Arlita (Brizzee) Poleatewich. He grew up in Andover, MA and later moved to Kingston, NH where he owned a home and then later moved to Exeter, NH.

He is survived by his three siblings, William J. Poleatewich Jr. and his wife, Marta, of Brentwood, NH, Sandra A. Poleatewich and her husband, Gary Page of Exeter, NH and Susan M. Poleatewich of Andover, MA.  Also, nephew William Poleatewich, III and his wife Anissa, great nephew Logan and great niece Chloe of Brentwood, NH.  Niece Katie Gillis and her husband Laurence, great nieces Sadie, Leona and Hailey of Exeter, NH. Nieces Taryn Page and her partner Andres Salazar of Richburg, NC, Lauren Smith and her husband Mark of Lebanon, ME and nephew Andrew Page of Charlotte, NC.  Nephew Kevin Wormell and his wife Kaitlin of Billerica, MA. And his aunt Dorothy Butler, Waltham, MA and many cousins.

Steve had a long career doing what he loved best, auto body work. He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved fishing, hunting, camping, boating and especially loved campfires. You could always find him at the grill barbecuing something or using his smoker. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 12:00 PM, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 111, Kingston, NH, followed by a Celebration of Life reception at the home of his brother William, 393 South Road, Brentwood, NH.
