Susan H. Jamme, 86, of Hanover died after a brief illness on October 31, 2002 at Kendal at Hanover. Mrs. Jamme was born on November 26, 1915 in Manhattan, New York. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Clara (Barnes Danforth) Hamlin. She enjoyed her work immensely and was a foster care social worker for the County of Nassau in New York for many years and later worked as a special services school social worker. After retirement she moved to Hanover where she resided for the last 11 years. Mrs. Jamme was very active in her community at Kendal at Hanover and will be greatly missed by her many friends. Family members include; one daughter, Frances J. Carlson of Ridgewood, New Jersey; two grandsons Eric and David Carlson; two brothers, Francis B. Hamlin of Arizona and John Hamlin of North Carolina; one sister, Jane Horton of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jamme was predeceased by her husband, Louis Theodore Jamme who died in 1949. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 10th at Kendal at Hanover. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, New York.
