Susan Evelyn Garland Reams passed away peacefully Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 72. Born in North Conway, NH to Dorothy and Alfred Swett (both deceased) Susan grew up in Milton, NH. Susan married David Garland and moved to East Rochester, NH, where they had two sons Randall David Garland (Georgia) and Robert Carl Garland (Amy). Susan leaves 4 grandchildren (Chad, Clayton, Abigail, and Emmett) that brought her years of love and happiness. Susan leaves a sister Mary Anne Weiss, a brother Frederick Swett, and is predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Littler.
Music, Laughter, and Love followed Susan everywhere. She grew up camping and shared this pastime with her children and grandchildren. Susan enjoyed playing cards and reminiscing around a good campfire. Her camping travels took her on many adventures, with her favorite spot being Sebago Lake. Susan loved birds, especially chickadees, and is famous for her homemade beans, whoopee pie cake, and her much loved clam dip. Susan will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving soul. Knowing she is at peace gives us comfort. Until we see her in Heaven, we know she will be singing and dancing with family members and friends that have cleared the way. She is smiling and patting Tina and Annie, her beloved cockapoos that gave her so much love and comfort here on Earth.
An 11:30 Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on September 29th at the Rochester, NH cemetery on Franklin Street. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to the Alzheimer's Association on the family's behalf are welcomed.
