Suzanne Amman

Suzanne Amman, 74, made her journey to heaven on Friday March 19, 2021 with her daughter by her side at Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, NH. She gracefully fought dementia for over 12 years.

Suzanne was born on November 8, 1946 in Mt. Lebanon, PA a daughter of the late Ross Dannals and Edna Harriet Shearer (Moon).

She was a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Interior Design and Bethel Park High School class of 1964.

Suzanne had a lifetime of adventures. She made friends everywhere she went. She planned weddings in Bristol, RI; started a junior garden club for her daughter's friends; designed gorgeous interiors up and down the east coast; swam with sharks off of Bimini Island; survived 5 hurricanes; sailed with her family in the Chesapeake Bay; went to every sporting or musical event her grandkids were in when she lived with them; created art with oils, stained glass, flowers and floor plans; loved unconditionally. She made everyone laugh and smile with her hilarious stories and sense of humor. Her laugh was infectious.

She loved the beach. She lived in Florida where she enjoyed sunshine, sand and waves. When she lived in Rhode Island, she was in Newport any day that was nice with her daughter and friends. She loved to swim in pools and the ocean.

Suzanne was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and the Liberty Worship Center in Largo, FL.

She is survived by her daughter Kristen (Amman) Rhyner of Hudson, NH; her three grandchildren Emma Rhyner, Jordan Rhyner and Jacob Rhyner; sister Nancy (Shearer) Vincent, niece Danielle Devlin and her husband Chuck Devlin; grand niece Opal Devlin and grand nephew Owen Devlin; nephew Jeffrey Vincent and his love Bethany Jones; grand niece Raylin Vincent; brother Ross Dannals Shearer and sister-in-law Lee Shearer; nephew Ross Shearer and his wife Kimberley Shearer; grand nephews Caleb Shearer, Asa Shearer and Lucas Shearer.

Heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, NH especially Kelly, Peris and Michele.

The family will hold a reunion this summer at the beach to honor Suzanne's life.

Donations to the Adult Day Program at Alvirne High School reopening (run by Gateways Community Services) can be made using the link below. This resource was vital in helping Suzanne and her family. The program has been closed due to renovations and COVID and will re-open this summer. Donations will be used for medical equipment, scholarships for clients, furnishings and supplies. There is also a video link from last year explaining the renovations and it just so happens Emma Rhyner is in the video. Please take a look.
