Concord, N.H. – Sylvia T. (Velez) Vanson, 89, of Loudon, N.H., died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Harris Hill Center, Concord, N.H. Born in New York City on September 26, 1920, she was the daughter of Caesar and Lucia Velez. Sylvia was an amazing homemaker and also worked as a self-employed dressmaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and traveling the world over, but was always happiest when sharing time with her many friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. Sylvia was the widow of the late Henry L. Vanson. She is survived by sons, Robert A. Vanson of Bohemia, N.Y., Marc A. Vanson and his wife Donna Vanson of Loudon, N.H. and daughter, Lynn M. Satriale of North Andover, MA. There are 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and a great nephew. The family thanks the staff of the Harris Hill Center in Concord, N.H. for the care and compassion they provided for mom during her stay. ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to a service to celebrate Sylvia's life will be held at Living Word Assembly of God Church, 729 Stage Road, Gilmanton Iron Works, NH 03837 on April 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Bay Shore, N.Y.
