Theresa Lydia McGuire

Theresa Lydia (Retelle) McGuire, 93, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Courville Community ­­­­­­­­­­at Manchester, New Hampshire. She was born on March 8, 1930, in Lawrence MA, the daughter of Lawrence G. and Clara Retelle.

Theresa married Henry M. McGuire, her husband of 54 years, on October 17, 1948, in Lawrence, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry (2003); her son, Richard P. McGuire (1984); and her grandson, Joseph M. Tesoro (2007). She is survived by her eight children, Maurice G. McGuire of Massachusetts; Kenneth R. McGuire of Maine; William A. McGuire, Kathleen T. McGuire, John J. McGuire, Robert P. McGuire, Debra J. and her husband, Ernest Tesoro and Theresa M. and her husband, Clayton Harkins of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Christina Latour, Jillian Dickey, Richard Latour, Eric Latour, Candice Winegar, Richard McGuire, Sophia Harkins and Brady Tesoro; her siblings, Lawrence and his wife, Dolores Retelle and Lydia and her husband, Joseph Dussault; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was a graduate of St. Anne’s High School, Lawrence, MA, and a longtime representative and perennial member of the President’s Club with Avon Products, Inc. She was a lifetime adherent to the Catholic Faith. In their retirement, Theresa and Henry enjoyed summers RV camping; she passed many hours crocheting blankets for her family and working out crossword puzzles.
