Therese A. McGuigan, 76, of Manchester died May 6, 2007 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a long illness. She was born on October 3, 1930 in Manchester the daughter of Oscar and Alice (Gosselin) Tremblay. Therese was educated in the Manchester school system and graduated from St. Anthony’s High School. Although an accomplished career woman, she was better known for her volunteer work with the Salvation Army in Manchester, most notably the Teddy Bear Picnic Days and Winter Wear Program for Children. She was also a volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol and an active member of the P.T.A. in Manchester. Therese enjoyed doing crafts and visiting craft fairs. Family trips to Hampton Beach were a favorite pastime as well as traveling with her husband. Family members include; daughters, Patricia McGuigan and Alice Rose McGuigan both of Manchester; sons, Thomas McGuigan and Robert McGuigan both of Manchester; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Tremblay of Manchester; sister, Jeanette Barbin of CA; one aunt; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter G. McGuigan and her stepmother, Rose Cassidy. IN HER LIFE: She leaves behind her grandchildren, Shawn, Melissa, Ryan, Keith, Nathan and Abbie; great grandchildren, Courtney, Allie, Dylan and Aiden; daughters-in-law, Karen and Teresa and a sister-in-law, Irene Cassidy. There will be a Memorial Reception on Thursday, May 10th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service at 11:00 o’clock at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
