Thomas N. Kounelas

Thomas Nicholas Kounelas, 75, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Hampton, NH at a nursing facility. Tom was born in Biddeford, ME on July 15, 1941 to the late Nicholas and Helen (Economos) Kounelas.
He was raised and educated in Manchester, NH and was the first graduating class of Memorial High School. He then went on to complete two years of college in Manchester, NH.
He worked for Conaire Tire and then later purchased and operated for 20 years his own business of Candia Road Muffler on Candia Road, Manchester, NH. He enjoyed not only his business and also his employees for many years.
Tom was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Griffus Kounelas. He is survived by his only son, David T. Kounelas. He is survived by his previous wife, Beverly Paulhamus Volner. He is predeceased by his only brother, Theodore Kounelas. Survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Kounelas McGinnis and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at The Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
