Tom (Thomas A. Linell) died in Lebanon, NH, July8, 2017 after a long illness close to the hills he loved. He was the son of Kenneth A. Linell and Marjorie A. Linell of Hanover, NH, and is survived by his brothers, Christopher of Francestown, NH and Kenneth of Boylston, MA, as well as niece Jennifer of Knightdale, NC, nephews K. Eric of Boylston, MA, and Aaron Eder-Linell of Francestown, NH, and several cousins.
Tom was a graduate of Hanover High School and University of New Hampshire and was a member of the U.S. Army's Signal Corp. He had many interests including his niece's and nephews' activities, skiing, politics, sailing and boat design, but his passion was responsible use, development and protection of the environment. He was a tireless volunteer maintaining hiking trails on Moose Mountain in Hanover as well as other hill and mountain hiking, skiing and bicycle trails and paths.
Tom was a progressive and engaging brother, uncle, citizen and volunteer and will be missed.
