Thomas F. Thompson Sr., 81, of Keene died peacefully at home on April 12, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Thompson was born on March 26, 1923 in Manchester the son of the late William and Helen (Martin) Thompson. He was a US Navy veteran who served in World War II in the Pacific. He was a Second Class Boatswains Mate. Mr. Thompson was a 55 years member of the local 131 Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union and a lifetime member of the American Legion in Manchester. He was also a member lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting in the fall with his friends. He also enjoyed an occasional spirit. He was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline (Hogan) Thompson who died in December 1977 and by his second wife, Alyce (Hill) Thompson who died in June of 2001. Family members include; two sons, Thomas F. Thompson Jr., of Lancaster, NH and James Hogan Thompson of Las Vegas, NV; four daughters, Christina and her husband, David Coruth of Weare, Sarah and her husband, Edward Bellerive of Keene, Tara Thompson of Las Vegas, NV and Catherine Thompson Garrett and her husband Bruce of Albany, OR; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Catherine and her husband, Robert Sundius of Lexington, SC; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Reception on Thursday, April 15th from 1:00 until 2:00 will a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
