Thomas Michael Woroniak, 82, passed away peacefully at The Arbors of Bedford on June 12, 2026, with his family by his side.

Born on October 2, 1943, in Manchester, NH, Tom was the youngest of four children of the late Adam and Catherine (Jarosz) Woroniak. Adam, a Polish immigrant, supported the family as a barber, while Catherine worked in a shoe factory. They lived a simple life, enriched by good food and family. To supplement their livelihood, the family gardened, raised chickens and rabbits, and foraged for mushrooms. Tom was predeceased by his sister, Doris, and his brothers, Alfred and John.

Tom graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1961 as a member of the National Honor Society. He then attended the New Hampshire Technical Institute, completing the Electronics Engineering Technician program in 1963. After serving in the New Hampshire Army National Guard, he worked as a tile setter at Dean’s Flooring. In 1969, he began a 32-year career at New England Telephone Manchester, where he served as an Equipment Installation Foreman and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Tom married Celeste (Frisella) in 1967. Together for 35 years, they made their home in Hooksett, where they raised their children, Michelle and Michael. As a father, he shared his wide range of interests—picking blueberries, making root beer and wine, and taking trips to the beach and the mountains. They played board games, did puzzles, and went sledding and skating. He spent hours on the softball field coaching his daughter and enjoyed quality time hunting and fishing with his son.

He was a proud grandfather of five, lovingly known as “Grumpy.” He cheered on his grandchildren at numerous sporting events—baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer, cross-country, and track—and enjoyed many school concerts.

In his later years, birding, gardening, cooking, and crosswords filled his days. Tom kept his backyard feeders full and participated in the annual bird count. He enjoyed preparing traditional Polish dishes and experimenting with new recipes. Stuffed cabbage, BBQ ribs, marinated lamb, and chocolate pecan pie were often requested.

Tom leaves behind his daughter, Michelle (Woroniak) Ham, and her husband, David, of Saco, ME; his son, Michael Woroniak, and his wife, Vanessa, of Strafford, NH; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Lucas, and Benjamin Ham and Hannah and Adam Woroniak.

For family and friends, a Toast to Tom is a fitting tribute — Black Russian, Gin & Tonic, Red Wine, or a good craft beer were among his favorite libations.
