Goffstown, NH: Timothy Neil McKinnon, 67, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Tim was born on January 30, 1958, in Manchester, NH to the late Gerald N. and Glenn (Moore) McKinnon. He was a graduate of Goffstown High School, class of 1976. He attended Johnson & Wales Culinary School in Providence, RI where his culinary passion was refined into an art form.
Tim was a long-time employee of Yellow Roadway Corporation where he held numerous positions throughout the Northeast; followed by Estes Express in Middletown, CT where he served as the Terminal Manager for Connecticut operations until his retirement in 2020.
Tim was passionate about his family, cooking, spending time at the family camp in Maine, and enjoying all the outdoor adventures New England has to offer. Tim will be remembered as generous, outgoing, hospitable, accepting, loving, humorous, fun-loving and an advocate for equality. Embodying the expression “you don’t do unless you over do”, he would happily make abundant and delicious meals for his family and friends on any occasion and was known for whipping up a batch of his award winning cinnamon rolls at every holiday meal.
A steward of service, he was a past volunteer at the Parent Information Center in Concord, NH. He volunteered with the Special Olympics, as a poll worker at town elections, and most recently served as an elected member of the Goffstown Cemetery Trustees.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Kerry (Mudge); three sons, Benjamin N. McKinnon, Adam B. McKinnon and husband David J. Beahm, and Christopher A. McKinnon and wife Connie M. McKinnon; five beautiful grandchildren, Gunnar, Kayper, Brodie, Autumn and Atticus; two brothers, William P. McKinnon and wife Kathleen, Peter S. McKinnon and spouse Christopher Matthews, and sister-in-law Terri McKinnon; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Gregory D. McKinnon, and brother Robert J. McKinnon.
A private graveside service will be held in Goffstown at Westlawn Cemetery for family. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Puritan Backroom located at 245 Hooksett Rd, Manchester, NH from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Tim requested donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation at www.glioblastomafoundation.org.
