Timothy “TJ” Sullivan, a cherished father, grandfather, partner, brother, and friend, passed away on October 5, 2025. Known for his adventurous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for his family and community, TJ leaves behind a legacy of laughter, leadership, and life lived on the open road.
Born on July 2, 1963, to Timothy Sullivan Sr. and Diane (Keating) Sullivan, TJ’s journey began in the carnival life, where he spent his early years traveling and experiencing the world in a way few ever do. That chapter helped shape the free spirit he carried with him throughout his life.
He later became a well-known and well-loved figure in Laconia, New Hampshire, where he worked closely with Tower Hill Tavern and The Big House. There, he wasn’t just a familiar face—he was a cornerstone of the community, known for hosting and helping build up events and venues that brought people together.
TJ rode every day—his motorcycle wasn’t just a passion; it was a way of life. He spent his summers in Laconia, where he found not only a home but a family within the motorcycle community. He formed countless friendships over the years, and those who knew him loved him for his loyalty, authenticity, and his genuine love of the ride. He was instrumental in organizing and supporting local events and served as an ambassador for Biketemberfest, helping get it off the ground and turning it into a celebrated tradition.
Whether on his bike, working behind the scenes, or sharing a laugh at the bar, TJ poured his heart into the people and places he cared about. His summers were spent at Spring Haven Campground, where he found peace surrounded by nature, family, friends and the quiet joy of being present.
Above all, TJ cherished his time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. To them, he was affectionately known as “Papa Tim with the tree,” a nickname born from the towering tree in his yard that the older grandkids loved to climb. That tree became a symbol of the kind of man TJ was—strong, steady, and always there. Under its branches and in his presence, they found joy, adventure, and unconditional love.
TJ is survived by his children: Timothy Krauss of Tennessee; Melissa Oquendo of Nashua; Timothy Sullivan III and his wife Monika of Nashua; Taylor Everhart and her husband Nicholas of Peterborough; and Madison Sullivan of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his seven beloved grandchildren and his devoted girlfriend, Christine.
He is also survived by his brother Stephen Sullivan and his wife Denise of New Hampshire; his sisters Dawn Sullivan of Massachusetts, Megan Sullivan of Florida, and Kathleen Sullivan and her husband Keir, also of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
TJ was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Brian, Michael and Sean Sullivan.
TJ lived life full throttle—with an open heart, fierce dedication to his family and friends, and a passion for building community. His memory will live on in every ride, every event he helped create, every tree climbed by his grandkids, and every story told by the many who loved him.
Ride on, TJ. We’ll see you down the road.
Details for a celebration of life will be shared by the family at a later time.
