Tina LeAnn McGinnis, age 50, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 18, 2026.
Born in the morning on February 24, 1976, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island to Tom Marucci and Sue McGinnis; later adopted by Alex McGinnis, Tina is survived by her parents, as well as her siblings: brothers, Alex McGinnis and Tony Marucci, and sister, Jackie McGuire. Tina is also survived by ex-husbands Michel, Scott, and Chad. An auntie to many throughout her life, Tina loved children. Especially her granddaughters, Myabelle, Luna, and Aurora.
Tina lived for these girls and loved them fiercely. Being Nina was everything to her.
Tina is predeceased by her grandmothers, Winnefred and Nita, her grandfather, Bob, Aunt Kathy, and uncles, Ken, Gerard, and Milton.
While born in Rhode Island, life brought Tina many places. Across America, Canada, the Caribbean, and living in Iceland, for a time, as a child. Though Tina considered Weathersfield, Vermont her home.
A pagan and lover of animals and nature, she never balked when her daughter brought home yet another animal in need of a home.
Tina graduated from Berlin High School in June 1994. Days later she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Coral-Mae, her brown eyed babydoll. She became Tinas world, and Tina loved being a mother. For 5 years, 5 days, 5 hours, and 55 minutes, Coral-Mae was the whole world for Michel and Tina. Then came their blond hair, blue-eyed angel. Her son, and mama's boy, Lance. Suddenly Tina had 2 beautiful children. She had a special relationship with both. Nothing compared until her granddaughters came into the world.
Lance Lamontagne, his partner Shannon Farris, and Coral-Mae Rouillard and her husband Jessi Rouillard were her biggest supports. She loved her children and granddaughters more than anything in her world, staying sober over 10 years for them.
Though Tina had rough periods in her life, she strove to be as lively as possible; to be the Nina she wanted to be to her girls. Graduating with her LPN in 2005, she strove to build her career. She loved helping others and inspired her daughter to also work in healthcare. She survived many hardships including a stroke, chronic illness, and multiple open-heart surgeries.
Tina was an avid crocheter. This skill is passed maternally through the family. Tina had recently helped teach Coral-Mae. She was also a lover of music, playing clarinet in high school and singing all the time. She loved crafting of many kinds, including scrap booking and coloring. A dancer and gymnast as a child, obsessed with Hello Kitty, lover of Tinkerbell; she enjoyed being outside camping, 4 wheeling, racing, kayaking and was extremely accident prone with ankles of glass.
Tina reached many lives, with many names: Tina Marie, Tina-Butt, thumper, mumma T, T, niece, Auntie Tina, daughter, wife, friend, Mom, and her most treasured name of all, Nina.
In lieu of flowers, Coral-Mae is asking for donations for the college funds of Tina's granddaughters, Myabelle, Luna, and Aurora, as Tina would have wanted.
