Valerie J. Bergeron 67, of Somersworth N.H. passed away in the early morning of December 11, 2021 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover N.H. , after a valiant battle with cancer.

Valerie was born on September 2, 1954 at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. She was the daughter of the late Valmore L. Bergeron and Shirley A. (Clark) Bergeron.
Valerie grew up in Rye N.H. She attended Rye schools and was a Portsmouth High School graduate. Later on in 2002 she received her degree in Business Management from Franklin Pierce College.

Valerie worked at BJ’s Wholesale Club as a Marketing Coordinator for many years, she then went on to work at the N.H. Fish + Game Dept. until her retirement in 2019. Valerie loved her job at N.H Fish + Game Dept. She was an animal advocate and especially loved her two cats Tigger and Sox, and made sure after her passing her two cats would be cared for. She was an avid reader, a great cook, even at an early age she was always cooking and baking. One of her fondest memories was a trip she took to Paris when she was in High School.

She loved her grandchildren very much and loved spending time with them. Her survivors include: A son Jeffrey Tosh of Rochester NH, a daughter Nicole Merritt and her husband Charles Merritt of Dover NH, a brother Tony Bergeron of Keys West Fla., a sister Rhonda Bergeron of Manchester NH , and her sister Monica Bergeron of Rye NH. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Hayley, Logan, Anna-rose and Charles and her nephew Kandym, her aunts and uncles and several cousins. Valerie is predeceased by her brother Mark A. Bergeron
