Vincent J. Acierno, 67, of 55 Lincoln Lane, Dracut, MA died on February 20, 2001 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Acierno was born on October 10, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Armando and Arcangela (Taddeo) Acierno. He was a US Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Mr. Acierno was a forman for Freudenburg in Chelmsford, MA for 40 years. After retirement he worked as a security guard for Security System Inc. in Lowell, MA. He was an honorary member of the Welcome Chapter 75 in Derry and a member of the Hudson American Legion. He enjoyed camping and was a member of the Monadnock Chapter in Keene, a member of NASCA and a member of the Manatoa Camping Chapter. Family members include; his wife of 45 years, Rosalie (Therrien) Acierno; three daughters, Donna M. Drehle of Dracut, MA, Ann M. Hodgkins of FL and Kim M. Camilli of Lowell, MA; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Acierno of Long Island, NY; one sister, Vera Lindley of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tina Acierno in June, 2000. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 4:30 PM at St. Theresa Church on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut, MA. Burial will take place on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
