Vinnie ''Geraldine'' Dickinson, 91, of Surry died on February 2, 2001 at Harborside Westwood Nursing Home in Keene after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dickinson was born on June 13, 1909 in Barrington the daughter of the late Gerald and Vinnie Mae (Smallcon) Davis. She graduated form Portsmouth High School in 1926 and received her teaching certificate from Keene Normal School in 1929 after a three year program. She returned to Keene Teaching College, formerly Keene Normal School, where she received her bachelors of education in 1963. She taught mathematics for 36 years at Thayer High School in Winchester and later became the assistant principal where she remained for 22 years. She was the treasurer of the Winchester School District for 31 years. Family members include; her spouse of 63 years, Wesley Earle Dickinson; one daughter, Joanne D. Tanner of Melbourne, FL; two grandsons, Mark Tanner and Eric Tanner; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Tanner; one brother Norman Davis of New Port Richey, Fl; and two nieces. Burial will take place in the family lot in Barrington at a later date.
