Virginia M. Dubuque, 88, of Henniker, died September 11, 2008 at the Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock Keene. Mrs. Dubuque was born in Washington DC on July 22, 1920, the daughter of Master Sergeant Walter and Frances Morrissey. She and her husband, Gerard, owned and operated Scotty's Camera Shop and Studio in Keene for 18 years. They retired to Henniker in 1981. Mrs. Dubuque had been a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Welcome Wagon of Keene. While living in Henniker, Mrs. Dubuque was employed by New England College, volunteered with the RSVP group, and belonged to the White Birch Senior Center and was Treasurer of the Rush Square Association. She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Mrs. Dubuque is survived by her two daughters, Joanne C. Stroshine and her husband, Bernard, of Swanzey Center and Jeanne D. Sterling and her husband, William, of Dublin; five grandchildren, Jere Worcester of Gahanna, OH, Matthew Worcester of Dublin, NH, Alan Stroshine of Keene, Christopher Stroshine of Swanzey and Lara Routhier of Dunbarton and nine great-grandchildren with a new addition expected in January. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerard, and great-granddaughter, Elena. Services: A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Old West Hopkinton Road, Henniker, with burial to follow in New Cemetery In lieu of flowers, it was Mrs. Dubuque's wish that contributions be made to the Henniker Rescue Squad, 216 Maple Street, Henniker NH 03242.
