Virginia F. (Rowe) Young

Virginia F. (Rowe) Young was called home to rest on April 16, 2023, the widow of Alfred “Roy” Young who passed in 2021.  Born February 5, 1943 she was the daughter of Charles and Frances Rowe and was predeceased by her brothers Charles Jr, and Gerald, and her sister Alicia. 

Virginia was also predeceased by her son Joseph 'Joey” Blaisdell, who passed away in 2010, and is survived by sons Gil Blaisdell and his wife Bobbi of Farmington, NH, Todd Blaisdell and his wife Emily of Barrington, NH with whom she resided, and Scott Blaisdell of Alabama.  She was also quite fond of their siblings John Tirone of Vermont and William Blaisdell of Maine, and her stepdaughter Kimberly Pfeiffer and husband Christopher of Goffstown, NH.

She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, and nieces, especially Lori Stanley, with whom she was very close.  As well as her lifelong friend Jeannie Bouchard, and her family.

A graduate of Salem State College she retired after a long career as a teacher at Merrimac Child Care Center in Haverhill, MA.

A memorial will be announced by the family, and burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Newburyport, MA.
