Virginia E. Mariotti

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Virginia Eileen Mariotti on December 13, 2023. Virginia was born on July 9, 1932, the daughter of Herbert Carlson and Olive Carlson (Conley).

Virginia decided to retire to Florida, where she became a cherished member of her community by selflessly volunteering at a local hospital. Her commitment to helping those in need brought comfort and warmth to patients at the hospital and their families. Virginia was also an officer for the Elks Club. She loved outdoor activities including walking on the beach by the ocean, pool aerobics, and taking part in a game of shuffleboard, which she enjoyed with friends and fellow enthusiasts. She also found joy in the thrill of chance by playing slot machines.

Virginia is now, “Somewhere over the rainbow.”

She is predeceased by her son, David Mariotti, and her two brothers, Herbert Carlson Jr. and Robert Carlson. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Krom, her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Carlson, her daughters, Deborah Paradise and her husband William Paradise, and Sandra Mariotti. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Lisa, Scott, Jeff, Craig, Joshua, Jacob, and Carli, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held to honor Virginia at the Bethany Covenant Church in Bedford, NH on Saturday, December 30^th beginning at noon. A reception for friends and family is to follow.
