Virginia May (Armstrong) Simms, 92, of Rochester, NH passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on December 11, 2007 after a brief illness. She was born on December 10, 1915 in Saugus, MA daughter to Arthur R. and May (Boyle) Armstrong. She graduated from Saugus High School in 1934. After living in North Reading, MA for many years she retired to Naples, ME in 1982. Eventually she moved to Rochester, NH, in 1998, to be closer to family. She was a very active member of Martins Pond Union Baptist Church in North Reading, MA. She leaves behind her son Robert Simms and his wife Fleurette of North Andover, MA; her daughter Bette and her husband Sam Eaton of Rochester, NH; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her beloved companions Nick her dog and Fish her fish. She was predeceased by her husband John W. Simms in 2000 and her brother Peter Scully in 1999. At her request, there will be no services.
