Wallace H. Young of Fitzwilliam, NH died at home on Sunday, December 24, 2000 after a long illness. Mr. Young was born in Winchendon, MA on February 21, 1921, the son of John and Josephine Mary (Supry) Young. He lived in Fitzwilliam and Jaffrey, NH for the past 43 years. He was a carpenter, cabinet maker and boat maker and worked at Toy Town Boats in Winchendon for 20 years. He also helped build the big Rowe, MA atomic plant. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching TV. Mr. Young served in the US Army in WWII in the Pacific Theatre for three years and saw heavy action. He had been ill for over 28 ½ years. He leaves behind his wife, Irene (Dunton) Young; one son, Charles Young of West Swanzey; two daughters, Doreen Abraham of Lowell, MA, and Denise Young of Westmoreland, NH; two adopted children; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
