Walter Kent Kinal, 50, of Merrimack died suddenly on June 15, 2004 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Nashua. Kent was born on January 31, 1954 in Pittsburg, PA the son of Walter and Emma (Pusztay) Kinal. He grew up in Bethel Park, PA and attended John McMillen Elementary School and Bethel Park High School. In 1975 he graduated from Edinborough University in Edinborough, Pennsylvania. He began his civil service in 1977 at Fort Monmouth in New Jersey. In July of 1984 he arrived at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA where he was a Senior U S Government Contracting Officer for the United States Air Force. He spent over twenty years working on many prestigious projects. He was the contracting officer for the stealth fighters and was also the contracting officer for force protection for our military stationed overseas. Most recently he worked in the Network and Integration program office which acquires and sustains the communications infrastructure for the United States Air Force with an organizational value of over 20 billion dollars. Kent was a long time President and member of the Granite State Plastic Modelers Society in Nashua and a member of the International Plastic Modelers Society. He was an avid golfer, gourmet cook and historian; he loved playing Trivia with friends. Family members include; his wife of 25 years, Diane E. Pritchard-Kinal; his parents of Ohio; a step daughter, Christine Orr of Merrimack; and one sister, Sandy Kinal of Ohio. There will be a Memorial Reception on Friday, June 18th from 6:00 until 7:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 7:00 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
