Dalton, NH – Walter W. “Punky” Morton, 3rd, 50, of Dalton, passed away on August 8, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 19, 1971, to Walter and Mary (Yeagle) Morton, Jr. of Whitefield, NH. He attended Whitefield schools. He worked several jobs until he found his love for masonry like his father. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Littleton Elks Lodge #1831. The Eagles, V.F.W. and the American Legion.


He is survived by his wife Deborah Lamont Morton of Dalton, NH, a step-son Jeff Lamont and his wife Jill of Twin Mountain, NH, Step-Grandsons Conner and Colby Lamont of Twin Mountain, NH, his mother Mary of Whitefield, NH, a brother Shane and his fiancé Sara Dunn and step-niece Sadie Dunn of Whitefield, NH. He is also survived by his grandparents, Irene (Morton) and Charles Ellis of Newton, NH, many aunts, uncles, friends, and extended relatives.

Punky was predeceased by his father Walter Morton, Jr., grandfather, Walter Morton, Sr., grandparents Jane (Pearce) Yeargle, Stanley Yeargle, uncles, Terry Morton of Lisbon, Nh, Kenneth Yeargle, Warren Yeargle and cousin, Josh Yeargle all of Littleton, NH.

The family would like to thank the Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Walter.

By his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private burial will be held at a later date. Should one desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice in Walter’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Littleton, NH.
