Wayne A Blanchard

Wayne Augustine Blanchard, 69, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Wayne was born on February 7, 1952, in Methuen MA to the late Roland and Loretta (Royer) Blanchard. Wayne grew up in Methuen and enlisted in the Air Force after graduation. He soon thereafter met the love of his life Lorraine Levesque and the two married on September 28, 1980 and spent 41 years happily married to one another. Wayne was a lifelong, long-distance trucker seeing much of the country including Gloucester during the “Perfect Storm”. Wayne also taught classes at Andover Trucking. When he was not working, Wayne spent his days woodworking, making everything from furniture to signs to artistic silhouettes. On Sundays he and his wife Lorraine were parishioners of Christ the King. Above all else, Wayne enjoyed traveling with his family going from the shores of the Carolinas to the desserts in Arizona and everywhere in between collecting souvenirs spoons and memories.

In addition to his wife Lorraine of 41 years, Wayne also leaves behind his two sons, his son Nate Blanchard and his partner Justine of Raymond, his son Jeremy Blanchard and his partner Kelsey of Rochester, his four siblings, his brother Roland “Butch” Blanchard of Lawrence MA, his brother George Blanchard of NC, his sister Mary McCarthy of NC, his sister Sharon Blanchard of Hudson. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, October 13th from 12 to 130 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street, Boscawen NH with a memorial service beginning at 1:30. Cemetery Committal will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
