Wayne Gary Elwood

Wayne G. Elwood, 72, died Monday, November 11, 2024 at his home in Londonderry surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on October 14, 1952 in Nashua, NH, a son of the late Wayland H. Elwood and Pauline (Beaton) Elwood.

He was the husband of Linda Elwood. They were married on May 22, 1976 at Londonderry United Methodist Church in Londonderry, NH.

Wayne graduated from Alvirne High School in 1970 and attended UNH for one year in the agricultural field. He became fully employed at Elwood Orchards that has been family-run since 1910. He became owner of his beloved orchard after the passing of his father in 2012. His dream was to diversify the farm and went on to add a corn maze that has grown to be 15 acres today. You could always find him on the tractor farming the land that he loved.

Wayne liked hunting and fishing in his younger days and enjoyed watching football and baseball with his children. He also liked putting jigsaw puzzles together and liked to do Sudoku. He had a love for Elvis music as Elvis Presley was his idol.

In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Paula Davidson.

He is survived by his wife Linda of 48 years, his children, Christina Elwood, Deanna (David) Leeds, Wayne Elwood, Melinda (Tyler) Palmieri, Amanda (Daniel) MacRoberts, and Bryan Elwood, his brother Wayland (Ann) Elwood, as well as five grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
