Wilbur Leon Coffman, known to his family and friends as Lee, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023, in Concord, New Hampshire, at the age of 76. Born on August 16, 1947, in El Reno, Oklahoma, Lee led a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynn, and their three sons: Jason, BJ, and Greg. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren—Adam, TJ, Vincent, Leo, and Jude—and three great-grandchildren: Warren, Cooper, and Casen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jo King, and his brothers, Don and Carl Coffman.

Lee began his career of service as a Navy corpsman during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he continued to serve his community as a police officer in Las Cruces, New Mexico. His commitment to service extended further when he rejoined the Navy, focusing on law enforcement and physical security roles, spending many of those years at sea. He retired in 1997 as a Lieutenant.

Lee and his family had the privilege of being stationed at many ports across the US and overseas including Subic Bay, Philippines, Naples, Italy, and Rota, Spain. After retiring from the Navy, Lee continued working for civil service until moving with his wife to New Hampshire.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.
