Wilda (Doe) Patricia (Vanasse) Bonneau, (72), passed away, comfortably at home on 4 Varney Court, Somersworth, N.H., after a long battle with Breast Cancer on September 11. 2007. The daughter of Catherine (Cil) (Lemieux) and affectionate step-father George E. Carkins, her father George G. Vanasse SR., She had worked at Somersworth Shoe, and as an Inner Sole Stamper at Dover Shoe Inc.. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Rollinsford, NH, the VFW Auxiliary of Somersworth, NH, and a life member of the DAV Auxiliary, National Unit. “Doe - Doe” as she was so often affectionately called, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo and watching her grandchildern at their sporting events. She was also a Volunteer Parent for the Somersworth Baseball Little League & Babe Ruth, and was a strong supporter of the Dennis Flannigan Scholarship Fund. She enjoyed wintering in Mt. Dora Fl. She was devoted and loving Mother/Grandmother and friend to all, especially to her Poodles Patti Jean & Patti Jean II, (P.J.). She loved and was loved by a great many people. She is survived by her husband of 50 loving years, Robert G. Bonneau, and sons Normand, William and his wife Marcia, Thomas and his wife Jessica, Joesph and his wife Karen and Douglas and his wife Sandy, all of Somersworth; David and his wife Janice of Rochester; and Robert A. and his wife Sharon of Bridgeville, Delaware; 22 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister-in-law Lorraine (Crateau) Vanasse of Dover, nieces & nephews as well as numerous cousins. She is pre-deceased by her brother George G. (Van) Vanasse Jr. The Bonneau family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation, to Dr. Sara McDuffee, Nurse Dale and the fine staff of Port/Derry/Salem Home Health Hospice; Dr. Paul F. Poulin, Greg and the staff of Seacoast Oncology LLC, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital; Dr. Philip R. Anderson of York Hospital; Dr. Asa J. Nixon and fine staff of the Seacoast Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglas Hospital; Dr. Mark Ballentyne and Dr. Elizabeth Remillong of Martin’s Point Health Center, as well as friends and neighbors for all their care and support. There will be Graveside Services at Forrest Glade Cemetery, in Somersworth, on the 3rd of November at 1130am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Dennis Flannigan Memorial Scholarship fund at 19 Francoeur Dr. Somersworth N.H. 03878, or a Breast Cancer Charity in her name.
