Willard W. Oja, of Dublin, passed away August 17, 2026 at New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton where he had resided for the past eleven years.

Willard (Willie) was born in Jaffrey, February 19, 1938, to the late Waino Oja and the late Minnie Augusta (Roberts) Oja both of Jaffrey. He graduated from Conant High School in 1957. After graduation Willie worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearing as a Tool Maker until 1960, when he joined the US Navy. Earning an Honorable Discharge in 1964, he returned to work at New Hampshire Ball Bearing. He married Linda Jean Blanchard in 1966, and they lived in Peterborough until 1968 when they moved to Dublin where they resided and raised their family.

In 1973, Willie joined the US Post Office as a letter carrier, moving up to the position of Post Master in Dublin until his retirement in 2003.

As a longtime resident of Dublin, Willie enjoyed the town and its people. He served on the planning and zoning boards plus a committee to review and re-design the local transfer station.

Willie is survived by his wife Linda, a daughter Lisa, a son Jeff and daughter-in-law Rebecca, also of Dublin. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Trenton and Gabrielle plus a great-granddaughter Gabriella and a great-grandson Carson. Also a brother Robert and his son Daryl. Plus a niece Susan Crowther Knight

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Katherine Crowther and a nephew Scott Crowther both of Jaffrey.

SERVICES: An internment ceremony will be held at the Dublin Town Cemetery on Monday, August 31, at 1 pm with a gathering to follow at Monadnock Country Club from 2-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to NH Veterans Home, Sunshine Cart Fund, Tilton, NH. 03276
