William Norman Harvey, 82, US NAVY RETIRED - WWII VETERAN Mr. William Norman Harvey, 82 of Derry, NH died April 13, 2008 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry following complications from a long illness. He was born on September 19, 1925 in Ludlow, MA, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. James Harvey. Bill served his country faithfully retiring from the Navy after 30 years, with the rank of Master Chief Boatswain's Mate. Mr. Harvey retired after some 20 years from Ingersol Rand in Nashua, NH. He was a member of many Veterans and other organizations and groups. Most notably he was a longtime faithful fan of the Pinkerton Academy Athletics program. Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Palmer) Harvey of Derry; 2 daughters, Rose Ann and Joe Zadorozny of Concord, NH and Margaret Quinlan of Yardley, PA; 3 sons, William Harvey of Goose Creek, SC, Edward and Paula Harvey of Chester, NH and Thomas and Joan Harvey of Hillsborough, NH, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Thompson formerly of Goffstown, NH. A private family ceremony will be held in the near future.
