William Harold Hayes, 81 of Candia, N.H., passed away on August 28 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Bill was born on January 6th, 1943 son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Scully) Hayes. Bill grew up in Raymond, NH where he graduated in 1961.
A member of Local Union 2320, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Bill worked for the phone company for 30 plus years serving in various positions and retiring as a work inspector in August, 1998. He built his home in Candia after serving in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1966.
Bill met his wife Jennie (Click, Champagne) in 1980 and was married in 1995. In addition to Jennie, Bill is survived by his sister, Trudy Brooks and nephews, Aaron Hayes and David Brooks. He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Hayes (2023), and his stepson, Denis Champagne (1999).
Bill enjoyed his cats. The most recent one, a black one named Lucky. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and raising exotic ducks. He also did wood carvings and stamp collecting.
Bill spent 28 years vacationing with Jennie at his log home cabin in Ripley Shores, Maine before being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2016.
