William J. "Bill" Ellis

William J. "Bill" Ellis, 73, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. He was born April 9, 1951, in Peterborough, NH, the son of the late Edmund J. Ellis and the late Beatrice M. Ellis.

Bill was the devoted husband of Diane (Findley) Ellis, with whom he shared a loving marriage since June 12, 1976, in Nashua, NH.

Bill attended school in Jaffrey, NH, and graduated from Conant High School in 1970. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. His professional journey included positions at D.D. Bean in Jaffrey, Sanders (now BAE) in Nashua, Nashua Corporation in Merrimack, and eventually Southern New Hampshire University, where he retired.

A passionate sports fan, Bill loved watching Boston teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, woodworking, reading, sitting in his recliner watching TV, drinking coffee, watching WWE, and playing card games. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and granddogs, creating lasting memories with family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Brian Ellis and wife Kim of Hooksett, NH, and Trisha Ellis of Derry, NH; two grandchildren, Brady and Chase Ellis of Hooksett, NH; and his sister, Sandra (Ellis) O’Connor and husband Michael of Rindge, NH. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, one niece, several nephews, and cousins.

SERVICES: Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to the Red Sox Foundation.

Bill will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed.
