William "Bill" Edmond Richard, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 4, 2026 at Home in Hooksett, New Hampshire. He was born on October 25,1949 in Manchester NH, to Edmund Richard and Beverly Ashton.
Bill married his beloved wife Diane Richard on June 1, 1996 in Manchester, New Hampshire, and would share nearly 30 beautiful years together.
Bill was a graduate of Memorial High School. Some time after after graduating, Bill enlisted as a United States Marine and served his country during the Vietnam War. He would later go on to attend New England College. Bill had amassed over 50 years of experience in the trucking business throughout his life. He started his career at St. Johnsbury Trucking in Manchester as a part time biller, eventually working his way up to Terminal Manager in North Reading Mass. He retied as terminal manager from New England Motor Freight in Concord, New Hampshire.
Bill's greatest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved having summertime barbeques with the family, swimming in the pool with the children, spending time with the family, and his Saturday night at the Wa-Toy for his favorite Chinese food.
He was preceded in death by his son; Ryan Richard, his stepson; Alan Hardwick, and his siblings; Peter and Pamela Richard.
Bill is survived by his wife; Diane Richard, his children; Ken Richard and his wife Cathy, and Stacy Champey, his step children; Ricki Fitzgerald and her husband Matthew, Angela Hardwick, Lori Coleman and her partner Mike Sasbon, and Valene Coleman and her partner Eric Leclerc, his siblings; Judy Dionne and her husband Rick, and Ron Richard and his wife Claire, his grand children Karissa, Valerie, Alan (AJ) Hardwick, Cassidy, Kyle Richard, Nick, Alex, Ashley Champey, Logan, Ella Fitzgerald, Janessa Hardwick, Kayla, Lilli, Michael, Dillon Sasbon, Alannah, Brady Leclerc, and Braylin Richard, and his great grand children; Canon, Vivian Owen, and Maverick.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm on Friday, April 10, at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, located at 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, New Hampshire.
