William "Bill" Ryan

William J. Ryan, 81, of Nashua, NH died on Friday April 7, 2017 after a long illness. He was born on February 5, 1936 in Lowell, MA to the late John and Anna (Brown) Ryan.

Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 year and 9 months and served a year in Vietnam, retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his time in the Air Force, he traveled the globe, including being stationed in England, where he met the love of his life, Monica (Shephard) Ryan, who he married in October of 1957.

Bill leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Monica Ryan of Nashua; his daughter, Peta Ryan of Nashua, his brother Tom Ryan and his wife Joan, his sister in-laws, Ivy Snelgrove, Jacqueline Davis and Michele Rothwell, his nieces and nephews, Carol (Ryan) Devellian, Lesley (Davis) Monte, Carl Shephard, Stuart Davis, Lewis Davis and William Rothwell, grand nieces and nephews, Bode Devellian, Stephen Shephard, Stuart Paul and William Davis, Hannah and Alexandra Davis and Sean Bell and great grandniece, Ellie Lou.

Bill will be cremated and a memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 1PM at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers and cards, the family has requested, if they wish, to make a donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital, a charity that Bill supported.
