Terry Treanor

William T. Treanor, known as Terry by all that loved him, was born on May 31, 1942 and left this earth on January 8, 2025. Terry was born in East Boston, the third child, first born son out of five children, Eileen, Kathleen, Terry, Dennis and Judith. Their parents Louis Treanor (East Boston) and Helen (Tatton) Treanor (Boston).

Terry was always devoted to his family, even at a young age. He was infamous for protecting his siblings, especially his older sisters Eileen and Kathleen from the scrutiny of the nuns.

Terry always loved cars. Fast cars, big cars, show cars, old cars he didn't care. When something caught his fancy, he would own it.

Terry put himself through barber school at night when he was working a full time job during the day. Giving his check to his parents so they could afford their home. When he graduated from barber school he quickly opened his own shop and worked relentlessly to prosper. He had a heart of gold and would always protect and care for his family. He took in nieces and nephews and raised them as his own, he cared for his parents until their last breaths.

He finally allowed himself to meet David, and they made their home and life together for the next eighteen years. They traveled, cooked and enjoyed the fruits of their labors. When they moved to Sandown Terry went into public service. There he ran and was elected as a selectman. He was very proud of this position and took pride in serving the town of Sandown.

Terry's work ethic is his legacy. He was an entrepreneur, starting his own barber shop, Studio 51, buying and managing many rental properties, and even at the young age of 82, worked for Market Basket.

Terry, Uncle Terry, Uncle T, was a force of nature..... we should all be so lucky.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00AM at St Thomas Aquinas Church, located at 26 Crystal Ave in Derry, New Hampshire.
