Willis H. "Rusty" Lyford

Willis H. Lyford, also known as Rusty and Herb, 91, of Hollis, passed away at his home on December 24, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Frances Giannino Lyford, and all of his children.
Rusty was born in Milo, Maine on August 15, 1929, to the late Perley E. and Clara M. (Sawtelle) Lyford. He was the youngest of nine children. Predeceased by all except for his sister Florence Brown, of New Jersey.
He moved to New Hampshire in 1963 with his son Danny. He was a carpenter and eventually started his own business, W.H. Lyford and Son Builders. He built many homes in Nashua and surrounding towns. He was a hard worker and very respected and liked by all that knew him and did business with.
Rusty was baptized on July 15, 1995 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved the ministry and was eager to tell everyone the good news and hope about the Bible's promise of a paradise earth soon to come.
He had four children from his first marriage, Paula and husband Ben Dupont, Danny and wife Cindy Lyford, Gary and wife Ella Lyford, Dennis and wife Kim Lyford.
He had two children from his second marriage, Tammy and husband Peter Giza, Tina and husband Dan McMullen. Also, six stepchildren that he loved, Cindy and husband Len Martin, Don and wife Lynn Cote, Doug and wife Sherry Cote, Cathy and husband Rob Mumford, Judy and husband Mike St. Amour and John Cote.
On December 2, 1998, when he married Fran, three more children were added, Debra and husband Terry Stark, Paul and wife Gail Giannino, David and wife Hazel Giannino.
He also had a favorite nephew, nieces, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
A special thank you to Dr. M. Cohen who guided us through this sad journey. Also, Tracey McDonald his special nurse. And excellent care of Home Health and Hospice.
A virtual memorial service will be held over Zoom on Saturday, January 9th at 1:30pm. Please contact a family member for details if you wish to attend.
