Winifred (Huston) Currier, 92, went to be with her Lord on April 9, 2025. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 11, 1932, to the late Harvey and Alice Huston. She was married to Charles Currier for 18 years until his death in 2006. She had previously been married to Richard Basso.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Education from Columbia Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina. During her life, Winnie also lived in Springfield, Vermont; Claremont, NH and Charlestown, NH. She was employed at Bush Music Center and Tambrands in Claremont.
Winnie was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Claremont. She enjoyed activities at the Charlestown Senior Center, especially singing with the Silvertones. She loved the Red Sox and was known around town for her Red Sox tote bag and bright green sneakers. She was the center of her family and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her five children: Robert (Susan) Basso of Enfield, NH, Lois (Bill) Jones of Bedford, NH, Donna Charest of Claremont, NH, Lynne Basso of Claremont, NH and David Basso of Lebanon, NH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as siblings Harvey Huston, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and Mary Hart of Pueblo, CO. She was predeceased by siblings James Templeton and Ilomay Burns.
