Winola P. Stokes

Winola P. Stokes, 77, of 2 Baptist Road, Canterbury, NH died on August 23, 2001 at Hospice House in Concord after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Stokes was born on September 15, 1923 in St. Albans, Vermont the daughter of the late Leroy and Maude (Estell) Gowen. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid in Canterbury. She enjoyed participating in exercise classes at Concord Hospital. Family members include; her husband of over 50 years, James Stokes; three sons, William Stokes of Amherst, John Stokes of Sandy Hook, CT and Richard Stokes of Oregon; two daughters, Jayne E. Stokes of Providence, Rhode Island and Judy Stokes of Westport, CT; and five grandchildren.
